A country without children. Radiography of the low Spanish birth rate. The low birth rate It is already a structural phenomenon, similar to that of other southern European countries, and which causes frustration, an aging population and can threaten the welfare state. Behind this very low fertility there are social, macroeconomic reasons, difficulties for conciliation and also the economic penalty that being mothers entails for women and that causes them to postpone the moment of motherhood.
